This position provides supervision for the Patient Access/Registration Department at the new Sherman Center Street Immediate Care Center.  It is Lead for Insurance Verification and Financial Counseling and assists in training new staff, problem solving, and supervises staff.  Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local statutes and regulations, as well as all third party payer policies. - Maintains and updates staff procedure manuals, staff training programs and quality assurance programs. Communicates effectively with staff and develop an effective team which promotes open communication between co-workers in a courteous and professional manner. - Provides leadership and acts as a resource to departmental staff to ensure smooth operations of the day-to-day activities; and ensuring operational goals and customer needs are met. This position demonstrates excellent customer service skills and supports the Admitting policies and procedures. Will project a professional image, to include appearance, confidence, knowledge, and organization of work.  Communicates using active listening, thinking/analysis, and appropriate response.


QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires 3 years increasingly responsible supervisory experience, preferably in a progressive healthcare setting. Demonstrated customer service, written and verbal communications skills and the ability to supervise others. Extensive knowledge billing guidelines, and Federal and State billing regulations.
