The Nursing Administrative Supervisor is responsible for the safe and effective management of patient care and resources within the facility and for maintaining communication between nursing personnel and other healthcare disciplines.
Performs patient care services:
Provides clinical and administrative leadership and expertise.
Role models the Mission, Vision and Values of Sherman Health.
Provides coaching and guidance to Nursing based on Nursing's philosophy, utilizing evidence-based practice and standards of the organization and nursing services.
Creates and maintains an open environment that is respectful and promotes sharing of ideas and expertise.
Oversees and manages staffing on nursing units during off shifts keeping productivity in mind.
Communicates necessary and important information to the Leadership Team.
Current with trends in health care and the evolving knowledge of care models.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong clinical performance
Strong interpersonal, management, and patient/customer service skills.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
5 years of Nursing experience as an RN
2 years of supervisory/management experience
Certification
Illinois License Registered Nurse
CPR/ACLS required with PALS preferred
Additional Information
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
